TRAVERTINE COMPANY PLC. (TRAVCO)
Travertine Company PLC. (Travco), is a Jordanian public shareholding company
founded in 1999 for the purpose of exploiting and processing the massive
Travertine stone outcrops in the Jordan Valley, with an invested capital of
US$6.5 million. Travco’s primary objective is to present the company to its
customers as a first class, credible, and most important of all, consistent
and reliable supplier.
With its own quarry source, spread over one site of 700 acres of raw
Travertine and in addition it has two other Limestone quarries at the
company’s disposal. Travco delivers the agreed quantity with an assured
consistent and standard quality. Our quarry has the capacity of producing
16,000 cubic meters annually, processed into slabs, tiles and decorative
items. The latest technology, which is matched by the expertise of our
quarrying team, facilitates our committed response to each and every order.
Travco’s processing plant, located next to its Travertine Quarry continues
to embrace the highest technical standards, building upon the latest
state-of-the-art technology from well-known Italian machinery manufacturers.
With the expertise of our well-trained work force, Travco supplies every
known size of tiles and slabs for gold Travertine and Jordanian Limestone,
with the following finishes: Honed, Polished, Antique, Tumbled, Sandblasted,
Bush Hammered, Acid Treated, and Chiseled. We can also deliver a growing
range and variety of decorative works such as fire places and window sills.
Jordan has concluded an FTA (Free Trade Agreement) with the United States
Government. Jordan signed this agreement in 2002 and all Jordanian stone
exported to the US is tariff and quota exempted.
Our History
TravCo was born on June 1999 to exploit Jordan’s rich travertine marble
deposit located at Ghor Damia (Wadi Fanoush) in the Holy Jordan River Basin.
Since its establishment, TravCo has mastered the skill and art of extraction
of this natural resource and its transformation into an outstanding finished
product. The dynamism and spirit of collaboration and cooperation of all
involved at TravCo are fundamental elements of its success, reflecting the
strength of the company’s commitment to the highest standards of quality and
enabling it to stand for its promises of customer satisfaction. The
objective is to maintain, at all times, the quality standards of the
product, meeting the specifications of each individual order.
